8 common question and answers and soft skills for a paramedical job interview

The following questions and answers would provide help to all certified paramedical students for their job interviews in Healthcare industry. The answers given are examples for students / candidates that can be used during interviews.

1. Give Your introduction / tell something about yourself?

Example answer: “I am (name) a paramedical professional with (No.) years of experience. I’m interested in this job because I think that I can accomplish my goal and develop on my current skills and also absorb, develop and add to a state of the art healthcare organization that supports my own principles.”

2. Why did you decide to become a paramedical healthcare professional?

Example answer: “I wanted to build my career in the paramedical field because it was my area of interest. I am interested in this job because I feel that I have that quality of caring and helping people in their times of need and because I always wanted to bring about a change in people’s lives by my deeds.

3. What is your strength?

Example answer: my strength is that I never give up. I endure to do everything I can even under the hardest conditions.

4. How would you take care of a patient in pain?

Example answer: “I would take care of their anxieties and assure to check for any details as to why is the patient in pain. I would also check in with the other medical staff to confirm that the patient is taken care of and in between I would convince the patient that we’re doing everything we can.” 

5. How would you deal with the stress related to the job?

Example Answer: The best method to deal with stress on job is by recording everything and being ready ahead. 

6. Why does this branch of paramedical healthcare interest you?

Example answer: “This branch of paramedical healthcare interests me because of its method. From what I have read and seen I think that this is a place where I can nurture myself and also add a lot of value.

7. What would you bring to the department?

Example answer: I would bring a strong work ethos and a promise to my patients that at every likely chance I would make sure that I am a hard-working and focused coworker who is on hand to help out, whenever I am needed.

8. Where do you see yourself after 5-10 years?

Be truthful, tell the interviewer where you see yourself in 5 or 10 years from now and what you hope to bring to the profession or department that you want to work in. The interviewer will want to see that you’re determined but also dedicated to evolving the department that you want to join.
